My flight to Australia originated in Hartford on Tuesday evening. The flight was delayed, so there was concern that I might not make the connection. It was a bit stressful, but it all worked out. I have arrived in Sydney! I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that it is now Thursday!
It was interesting to fly west through the continual night (17hours). I suppose this is similar to winter in Alaska.
I have not taken any pictures yet. as it is now raining. I am on my way out to learn about this fabulous city and get a sense of the history and culture before my fellowship work begins. (And to acclimate to the 14 hour time difference!)
My school visits begin on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 12th and 13th in Melbourne.
